Indrijati Rahayoe has been the chief human resources officer for Prudential Life Assurance Indonesia since March 2019. Prudential is Indonesia’s largest life insurance company, with a business size of around Rp 80 trillion, supported by 2,000 employees and 250,000 agents.

Prior to this, she worked for three years as the HR director for Blue Bird Group, a transportation company with a variety of subsidiaries, including passenger transportation (taxis, rental cars, and buses) and non-passenger transportation (logistics, forwarding, warehousing, heavy equipment, and car workshops) along with other businesses such as property and IT consulting. Blue Bird Group has around 6,000 employees and 40,000 drivers operating in 18 cities around Indonesia.

Indri’s first generalist position was with Bayer, where she was the head of human resources for three years. She started her career with Unilever as a management trainee in the technical department, moving from R&D, industrial engineering, and production for 13 years before changing her career to HR by becoming the factory’s HR manager in 2006.

Indri has vast experience in all aspects of HR, from business partnering and training to HR services and talent management. She has worked extensively in organizational and management development, and she has a deep understanding of the ASEAN talent landscape, having worked in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines during her tenure with Unilever. Indri has a wealth of experience in change management, especially in working closely with business leaders to transform an organization into a high-performance culture.

Indri earned her bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Indonesia’s Bandung Institute of Technology in 1991. She has participated in many leadership seminars and certifications from supply chain and HR professional organizations.
